Barcelona
REVIEW: FACT BCN
In a city positively brimming with talent during the recently christened 'OFF-Week', FACT's three pool parties still stand out from the crowd thanks to the sheer scale of the line-ups on offer.
EAST ENDER III
FACT BCN POOL PARTY SERIES
All roads tend to lead to Barcelona in June, where electronic music will be taking over the city's streets for a long weekend once again.
As with every year, the already thriving dance scene will be chock-a-block with A-list talents and auspicious newcomers—and nowhere is this more apparent than at FACT's pool parties.
SONAR BARCELONA CHANGES LOCATION
Barcelona's annual festival, Sonar enters its 20th year in 2013.
To celebrate they have drafted in a monster line up and moved house for the day time revelries.
CCCB in Montalegre, Barcelona has always been the proud foundations for Sonar by Day. This year however Fira Montjuic in Plaça d'Espanya, Barcelona will play host to the party.
The new location allows more ravers into the pit, with the four stages including 'SonarVillage', 'SonarHall', 'SonarDome' and 'SonarComplex' now with increased capacities.
Poll Clubs 2016: ELROW
These days, a lot of clubs feel the weight of financial pressures, meaning they open at every opportunity and consequently their line-ups suffer. Not Elrow. The Barcelona venue is the definition of putting all of your eggs in one basket, only opening once a month for a bombastic daytime blowout.
Now hold on a second, it's not as crazy as it sounds (as Elrow's presence in our Top 100 Clubs list for the second year running is evidence of). The system allows the club to offer a truly unique experience every time the doors open. Each party has a different theme and Elrow go all-out on decoration and accessories; combine that with a massive open air main-room, a beach terrace (complete with sand and palm trees), a 'local talent' bar and eight (yes eight!) resident DJs, and you've got a recipe for success.
Of course the big names on the flyers are always going to draw in punters too — Eats Everything, Seth Troxler, Claptone, The Martinez Brothers, the list goes on. However the club's real pulling power comes from its outrageous personality, and we find it pretty hard to argue with that.
